
Chronology of activities
-August 2022
Through a class called CEP in the Department of Global Tourism, students from 2022 came up with the idea of a business using local specialties, "Ise ebi lobster Ramen," in the Mio area of Mihama Town, Wakayama with the idea "renovating an old house" as the ramen shop.
-April 2023
In preparation for the launch of the "Ise ebi lobster Ramen" project, the 2023 CEP members held remote meetings with local people in Mio, worked on everything from creating the concept to developing the product.
-August 2023
Finally, we made a "Mio Ramen". We sold out 150 bowls in the 3-day limited opening!
-October 2023
Mio Ramen served at the Wakayama kenjin kai.
-August 2024
We held our ramen event at North Island College in Canada. All ingredients were locally sourced, and served to local people and NIC students.
-November 2024
The old house was renovated into our ramen shop.
-December 2024
We set up a stall at the event celebrating the 70th anniversary of Mihama Town's establishment. We sold out 300 bowls in 3 hours!
We received the "PAX AWARD" from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies for our activities that embody the idea of world peace through language.
-April 2025
Finally, our store opened. It is currently open 4 days in a week. (Friday to Monday)
-September 2025
We held a Mio Ramen demonstration event at the Canada Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka,Kansai.
-November 2025
We opened our stall at the Kyoto University of Foreign Studies school Festival.
